About 3 o’clock in the morning on 11th Nov, Shaolin temple’s website was broke by one or several unknown hacker, shortly the home page was tampered with a fake confession letter written by Buddhist abbot ShiYongXin.
The confession letter with imitation of Shi’s tone made confession about the recent commercialization movement of The Shaolin Temple, and denied the wrong directions of development with great regret. How fast it spread on the internet you can imagine.

Soon, Mr. Lin, manager of Shaolin Temple website, call the police with depression and the website was inaccessible now. It will take two or three days to recover.
Till now, there is no response from local police office and Buddhist abbot ShiYongXin.
In addition, 11th Nov is kind of an unofficial holiday created by netizens and teenagers in China, to celebrate the free single life, and someone believed it has some relationship between the holiday and the hack event.
